Parent and Infant Groups:
Community Projects
Promoting mental-health and well-being is often highly effective when psychological knowledge and expertise is applied outside of the therapy room. A key mission statements at Raising Minds is to enhance the mental-health of local communities, particularly in relation to infants and their parents. This is achieved by developing projects that have a have a high-impact and facilitating them in communities that would not ordinarily access psychological expertise. Intervening during babyhood can have far-reaching and long-lasting impacts for child, parent, family and community.

Rachel recently conducted a pilot project of a free-to-access educational and therapeutic group programme for mothers and their babies. This was made possible by working with The Mill Community Centre in Walthamstow, north-east London, supported by their Grow Your Idea scheme, with funding from the Co-op.
